Business Development Manager - Academy Services

We’re expanding our team and are looking to recruit additional Business Development Managers to help sell and demonstrate our academy training and services to the hospitality sector. Responsibilities will include presenting our online safety learning management system and academy product offerings with a consultative selling style. 

To be successful in this role, you will have successful experience in selling learning solutions online and ideally to the hospitality sector. You will have first class communication skills with the ability to communicate, inspire and engage professionally with business owners/chefs/operation managers across a range of sectors. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers, from the first contact until deal handover.

The ideal candidate:

  • Consultative approach to selling and experience selling learning solutions/products
  • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
  • Articulate, methodical and thorough attention to detail.
  • Ability to engage, adapt and connect with high-level prospects.
  • Organisational skills are an absolute must; you must be able to manage the relationship of clients over a number of months ensuring Navitas is never far from their minds.
  • Competitive – whether from a sporting or academic background
  • Drive – be extremely driven to succeed and money motivated
  • Curious – Eager to learn about how and why things work.
  • Familiarity with the g-suite of products, especially g-sheets is advantageous.
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively with the Marketing team.
  • Foodies preferred!

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrating our Academy platform and products both in person and effectively via online meetings.
  • Managing sales through the creation of proposals and contract negotiation. 
  • Research target companies on LinkedIn to identify the key decision-makers.
  • Follow up on leads generated by the Marketing team, Channel partners and field activity.
  • Pursue prospective clients via multiple communication channels as well as meeting high value prospects.
  • Maintain data quality in our CRM and associated platforms
  • Effectively working in partnership with the Marketing Team
