With the continued growth of the customer base and the demands placed on our existing Operations Team, we are looking for a Training Manager to oversee all Consultancy related training for existing and new Audit team members.

The role involves travel around the UK on a weekly basis.

This is a key role pivotal to the success and reputation of Navitas Safety.


The ideal candidate will be our Brand Ambassador for auditing and have/be:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be approachable and welcoming so new audit team feel welcomed into the Navitas family and feel supported and mentored in an open and transparent environment.
  • An ambassador for the Navitas style of auditing, ie. approach. Whilst we must ensure legislative compliance, our audit team pride themselves on having a coaching and ‘arm around the shoulder’ approach and style of auditing. We want to engage and empower Clients’ teams so that standards improve and they understand WHY safety is so important. 
  • Able to work with our Head of Technical to develop our team skills matrix and support Talent Planning and progression
  • Flawless organisational skills; you must be able to manage a busy workload, stay on top of requirements and arrange follow up actions with other members of the team effectively.
  • Digital/Technology savvy; we’re a technology company and work remotely so you must be comfortable learning software platforms, and training new team members how to use them.
  • Have prior experience working in a training/coaching role.
  • Professional, calm demeanour able to deal with potential issues and on occasion HR related /sensitive queries.
  • Fast learner, able to get to grips with our solutions and start having a positive impact on our team.
  • Be familiar with all services Navitas Safety offers – Academy, Compliance and Digital Food Safety – and therefore able to answer any practical questions during the Induction or training sessions.


  • Manage the onboarding process to ensure new audit team are properly set up, trained and mentored during their initial weeks of joining the business and beyond.
  • The successful candidate will be the point of contact for all new starters and will mentor and support them.
  • Complete shadow audits with new audit team members to ensure they are fully trained and consistent with Navitas’ standards of auditing.
  • Sign off each new starter so that they may commence solo audits.
  • Complete report checks for at least the first 5 solo reports and feedback/guide as appropriate.
  • Complete 6 monthly calibration audits on all members of the Navitas audit team (including Associate team)  following an annual schedule and also in response to any issues/feedback from the Operations Director.
  • Complete spot checks of report writing for all of the audit team, again to a planned schedule, with a target % of reports to be checked. Feedback given to the team (which may also result in a calibration audit being required).
  • Delivered Training – be responsible for the delivery of all delivered training (remote and in person) including updating/production of materials, calibration and training of team members who conduct such training.
